Chuck Williams grew up on Route 66, first in his parents’ hometown of Oklahoma City, then in Amarillo, Texas until age eleven. His family logged thousands of miles between Rolla, Missouri and Los Angeles. Chuck and his wife, Ann, continue to be fervent and frequent travelers of “America’s Highway,” from Chicago to Santa Monica.
A graduate of Wayland University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Chuck has been in ministry for over thirty years. His experiences working with teenagers, and teaching and leading a church designed for unchurched people have given him insights into the practical application of God’s Word.
Chuck, Ann, their son Rich, and a handful of friends founded Live Oak Community Church, in Lubbock, Texas, in 1993. Chuck currently serves as Senior Pastor of this contemporary, relevant, and dynamic church.
